Black Love, Inc. is a Black-owned media company devoted to providing diverse representation of love in the Black community through film/tv, original digital content, audio, live events and social media. While we began our journey with the creation of the BLACK LOVE docu-series, which launched as the most viewed unscripted series in the history of the Oprah Winfrey Network, we have evolved to offer a wide range of content and experiences that affirm, educate, and entertain the Black Gen-Z & Millennial audience. In addition to the docuseries, Black Love, Inc. properties include the Black Love+ App, Black Love Podcast Network, a monthly social media reach of over 75M+ monthly, the annual Black Love Summit and BlackLove.com. We have partnered with brands including: Target, Neutrogena, Amazon Studios, BET Networks, Bravo Networks, JP Morgan Chase, Shea Moisture, Lexus and Frito-Lay.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Black Love is seeking an Account Supervisor of Brand Partnerships with strong branded content & long term client management experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in brand advertising, content, & media process targeting the Marketing organization segment of brands and agencies. Account Supervisors are the trusted partner and point of contact for clients partnering with leadership to deliver operational discipline and delivery excellence, speed to market, resource optimization, and profitability management to their business(es). Account Supervisors are efficient operators, who add value by striving to solve the larger business problems, not just the immediate request at hand. Highly organized and accountable leaders, they are able to build relationships and collaborate with/draw on the expertise of all of the capabilities of Black Love.


WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Powerful communicator, able to engender trust across all levels
  • Own project management/workflow system data entry and reporting
  • Effectively negotiate & drive scopes of work
  • Mentor and support the development of more junior team members
  • Influence the efficiency and quality of work
  • Manage objectives, expectations, and timelines; communicate changes to team members and drive them towards forward progress, action, and results
  • Build strong, collaborative, and trusted relationships with clients as well as creative and strategic partners
  • Effectively present work from a delivery standpoint
  • Identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans
  • Understand staffing and scoping requirements
  • Serve as the key day-to-day project contact with clients, the internal team, and external partners


WHAT YOU’LL NEED & WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience forming strong client relationships
  • 6+ years of client-facing industry experience in fast-paced, high-volume delivery of at least 3 different capabilities (B2C, B2B, retail, CPG, digital, tech, PR & influencer, etc.)
  • Demonstrated capability to meet deadlines and stay within budget
  • Detail oriented with commitment to follow through
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • A strong team player, willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Is observant, open-minded and receptive to new experiences from which he/she can learn
  • A problem solver with foresight and the ability to develop creative solutions
  • A good listener – someone who reads people and a room (and adapts their style accordingly)
  • Commitment to ensuring creative excellent and output
  • Knowledge of client and agency operations; working knowledge of the Black Love capabilities
  • Strong writing, communicating, and presenting skills
  • Passionate about great work, your team and our business
  • A collaborative, team-oriented manager with strong organization skills; able to manage up & down working with multiple timelines and deliverables

Black Love has adopted a hybrid work model for our entire staff. We believe that the best work is done in a hybrid capacity as it combines the flexibility of working from home with in person collaboration. We are ideally looking for Los Angeles based candidates, or candidates willing to relocate within the first 3 months of accepting an offer. In addition, Black Love requires all employees to provide proof of full vaccination and booster to combat the spread of Covid-19.
