Job Description
Job Title: Sales Account Manager


Brand: Urban Decay


Location: El Segundo, CA


POSITION PURPOSE


The role of the Sales Manager is to oversee day-to-day retailer-specific business. Drive sales through strategic sales analysis & reporting to pursue opportunities sales fundamentals, and inventory. Partner with cross-functional teams to plan out retail specific campaigns. Support the overall growth of the business through the implementation of brand & retailer strategies. Manage account-specific side-by-side, sales reporting & calendar. This will include but not limited to sales analysis/reporting, forecasting, inventory and order management. This position is responsible for developing strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners at all levels while maintaining Urban Decay company values to achieve strategic initiatives.


Job Responsibilities


Sales Growth planning and forecasting:


  • Track and plan sales fundamentals to action increased sales at retailer.
  • Work with the AVP of National Accounts to forecast and track weekly & monthly retail sales and gross shipments for new launches and basic replenishment (Sell through & Sell in)
  • Ensure forecasting alignment across Demand Planning, Marketing, and Finance teams for new product launches/key items; lead monthly meetings to discuss gaps and business opportunities
  • Work with AVP National Accounts to forecast, track and manager expenses related to account activities.


Reports And Analysis


  • Analyze business performance by category, product, comp/new stores, regions etc. as needed to influence business decisions
  • Prepare month end reporting for Finance Department to summarize business drivers MTD and YTD
  • Publish weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly sales reports to recap business, communicating successes and opportunities for improvement


Inventory Analysis & Management


  • Meet monthly with supply chain to review inventory opportunities
  • Forecast potential returns and advise on sell down strategy
  • Analyze weekly inventory position to manage retailers seasonal stock/sales plan
  • Assist/Lead call with retailer to discuss stock needs, availability, and flow to maximize retailer open to buy and ensure minimal disruption of business


Other


  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Assist in tracking and processing approved contracts, chargebacks, and deductions as approved by AVP
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required. Ability to organize large amounts of data.
  • Help prepare for sales and market meetings as needed (pack gratis, prepare PowerPoint presentations/analysis, coordinate meeting rooms)
  • Oversee setup of new items in retailer catalog (NIFs/PIMs)
  • Maintain Account calendar of activities/events
  • DIF/Testers – Analyze, Track, and Process monthly damages and testers
  • Bachelor’s degree and interest in the prestige beauty industry.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently within a rigorous deadline schedule
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in wholesale planning, buying, and/or account management
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated management and self-initiative skills required
  • Troubleshoot inventory concerns or visual callouts from brand field team
  • Qualification Standards:
  • Previous experience working directly within the prestige beauty industry and/or with a major beauty retailer a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel & Power Point
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong business acumen; comprehensive understanding of retail math


Estimated Salary Range: $90,100-$126,100 plus bonus plus FT benefits
