Job Description

Duties

  • You will assist in assessing and inspecting programs and procedures to ensure their adequacy and accuracy in safeguarding resources and compliance with laws, directives, and regulations.
  • You will assist in inspections, reviews, studies, analyses and evaluations of region and installation operations.
  • You will assist in the analysis of complaints involving alleged fraud, waste, acquisition and procurement irregularities, mismanagement, safety and security violations, environmental concerns, ethics violations, military and/or civilian reprisal.
  • You will provide guidance or training to installation Commanding Officers and their staffs in performing management control reviews and risk assessments during inspections.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of spec experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Applying principles of organization, management, and administration to contribute to efficient operations.
2. Compiling reports, memoranda or other documents for use in computer information or other automation systems.
3. Assessing simple issues to resolve the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of administrative procedures and management practices.

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree;
