This Executive Assistant role is a highly visible position within the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees (EOUST), providing executive level support to the Director, who is a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), and working closely with other members of the U.S. Trustee Program's leadership team in both the EOUST and the field. Duties of this GS-0301-12/13/14 position include but are not limited to:
- Providing analysis and conducting fact-finding, coordination, and data analysis of a variety of topics and issues in connection with impacted offices.
- Serving as Editor for the Program's Annual Report; selecting the format to be used; meeting with each component and determining which highlights to include; reviewing content for compliance with EOUST standards; and overseeing production of the publication.
- Working special projects and studies, on topics which impact on the respective subject area or program.
- Analyzing proposed and existing directives for conformance with policy, for clarity, to avoid duplication or conflict with other issuances, and to develop appropriate corrective actions.
- Determining other Departmental components that need to be involved in the USTP's response to Congressional inquires, including the Office of Legislative Affairs.
- Analyzing and evaluating existing, new, and emerging functional requirements of the Program and the bankruptcy process.
- Coordinating with other programs and functions within the EOUST and the Program to meet objectives and goals.
