As an Executive Assistant with our Employee Experience team, you will confidently manage the administrative functions and day-to-day operations for the EVP of Employee Experience. This is an interactive and fast paced role. You will be responsible for calendar management, handling confidential and sensitive information, making travel and meetings arrangements, organizing, and assisting in preparation and monitoring of departmental expenses and budgets and preparing correspondence and reports - including preparations for board meetings. You will be the face of the department and work cross functionally on both an internal and external basis. You will work closely with the EVP in support of goals and objectives for the team and for Premera.


This is a hybrid position, with some onsite days required. You must live within driving distance of our Mountlake Terrace campus.


What You’ll Do


  • Act as the Executive's liaison internally and externally, ensuring that individuals are informed of activities, directives, and deadlines.
  • Create presentation materials for a wide variety of audiences.
  • Keep the Executive apprised of meeting dates and appointments, and prepare pertinent materials, as necessary.
  • Maintain a variety of electronic and hard copy data, including confidential and general files.
  • Serve as designee for the Executive's approval of specified items.
  • Book travel and plan meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Ensure materials are prepared, on time and accurately, for board and committee meetings.
  • Troubleshoot questions and direct to how to or who can help resolve.
  • Respond appropriately to incoming calls, visitors, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate the smooth flow of information between Executive, their peers, and direct reports/department while anticipating upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Monitor departmental and personnel budgets, research where necessary, and perform entries to process expense statements.
  • Understand sensitive and confidential information and respond accordingly.
  • Manage the Executive's calendar, to include all internal and external commitments, including board meetings, and understanding the prioritization of commitments.
  • Proofread internal and external correspondence, including letters, memos, and presentations.


What You’ll Bring


  • Independent decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Identify and proactively influence/help to resolve problems/issues when they appear off balance.
  • 5 years' experience as an Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant supporting top level executives, senior managers, or groups of senior managers, at a minimum (required) (with 5 to 10+ years experience as an Executive Assistant highly preferred).
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, with the ability to recognize when something may be off track or incorrect.
  • Experience in planning/coordinating meetings from inception to completion, and with departmental budgets is preferred.
  • Effective multitasking skills while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional and effective conversational skills (verbal and written).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; PowerPoint would be a plus.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.


National Salary Range:


$65,500.00 - $93,900.00


National Plus Salary Range:


$66,300.00 - $106,100.00


  • National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
