As a Publishing Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with New York Times bestselling and award-winning books, elevating stories from underrepresented voices and inspiring young readers. With great organizational skills and clear communication abilities, you will provide administrative support to the Publisher and Executive Editor, collaborating with various departments, agents, authors, and illustrators. Responsibilities

• Support with invoices, contracts, and book registrations
• Maintain Kokila reviews and awards records, update online metadata, and submit paperback forms
• Assist the imprint with daily administrative tasks, including setting up meetings, sharing materials, and preparing presentations
• Manage department contacts' information and handle author copies
• Organize submissions for the PYR's Emerging Voices program, promoting inclusivity in the submission process

Additional Responsibilities

• Coordinate and send out the Kokila creator newsletter
• Occasionally perform editorial tasks such as writing book descriptions and researching competitor titles
• Assist with managing the imprint's social media accounts

Support To The Publisher

• Manage the Publisher's calendar and handle expenses filing
