Pre-Production Assistant, Penguin Random House Audio (Open To Remote) ($48000.00 / Year)

Employer is seeking a Pre-Production Assistant to join their audio division team. This role offers a great opportunity to learn about audiobook production and the publishing industry. As part of a team of 60 members, the Pre-Production Assistant will collaborate with Producers, recording studios, narrators, directors, and authors to ensure timely communication about schedules for audiobook production. They will also be responsible for creating and disseminating recording schedules, tracking and distributing recording manuscripts, and providing administrative support to the department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Prior office experience is preferred. The salary for this position is $48,000.

Responsibilities

• Communicate narrator/talent and director offers as designated by Executive Producers.
• Track and distribute recording manuscripts.
• Collaborate with Producers, recording studios, narrators, directors, and authors to ensure timely communication about schedules for audiobook production.
• Provide administrative support to the department as needed, including managing documents and files, editing PDFs, preparing materials, and delivering scripts.
• Create and disseminate recording schedules to narrator/talent, agents, freelancers, and recording studios.
• Develop relationships with recording studios and agents as dictated by recording location and preference.
• Adjust and amend recording schedules as unexpected changes arise within the scheduling deadlines, and communicate changes to post production, and other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Prior office experience is preferred.
