POSITION SUMMARY
TheLaw School Recruiting Coordinatoris a full-time, non-exempt position based in ourKansas City, MO office. This role is responsible for executing the firm's law school recruiting strategy. This includes, but is not limited to, managing our summer associate program and OCI recruiting process, attending recruiting events, facilitating student engagement, and coordinating the firm’s attorney onboarding process. The Law School Recruiting Coordinator drives the recruitment process by setting clear expectations and delivering on commitments with a sense of urgency and incorporating the firm's DEI goals and initiatives into all aspects of the recruiting process.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and manage summer associate program, including training, social events, budget management, evaluation process, and related activities/logistics. Serve as point person for summer associate program, both internally and externally.
- Take an active role in NALP to be an industry expert in law firm summer programs; keep up with trends and bring new ideas and suggestions to the team.
- Communicate regularly throughout school year with outgoing and incoming summer associates to maintain engagement.
- Gather performance feedback and coordinate offer process with summer associate program leaders.
- Serve as point person for law clerks (law students who work with the firm through the school year) and summer interns.
- Coordinate and manage OCI and callback interview Process during 1L and 2L recruiting season including identification and scheduling of attorney participants.
- Maintain Summer Program webpage on firm website, ensuring content remains updated and relevant.
- Establish and maintain relationships with Career Services Office team members and student groups at target law schools to develop brand presence and support the long-term strategy.
- Engage with law schools, law student candidates, and professional groups year-round to build employer brand awareness and a strong talent pool.
- Participate in resume collection, review, and candidate selection.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Undergraduate degree required; business, human resources, or marketing preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding candidates, firm matters, and recruiting matters
- Ability to represent the firm in a favorable and business-like manner
- 2 or more years working in a professional services firm in recruiting, training, campus relations, or marketing; law firm preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, handle conflicting priorities, and meet deadlines
- Up to 20% travel
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to see and read PC screens, detect color coding, read fine print, and/or normal type size print
- Ability to talk and hear required
- Ability to perform repetitive motions required
- Position is generally sedentary in nature; involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time
- Ability to reach, lift, climb, balance, stoop and crouch required
- Ability to sit, stand and walk required
