We are currently seeking a highly motivated and accomplished candidate for an exciting part-time opportunity as a Human Resources Assistant (HR Assistant). As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Human Capital Department and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for our employees. This position offers a flexible schedule of approximately 30 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between employees and the HR department, fostering open communication and addressing inquiries and requests in a timely manner.
Provide administrative support to the HR team, assisting with various day-to-day operations and tasks.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including organizing orientation and training sessions, managing employee files, and ensuring compliance with necessary documentation.
Collaborate with payroll preparation by providing relevant employee data, such as compensation, benefits, absences, and leaves.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, utilizing both digital and physical filing systems.
Support the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, sourcing candidates, and updating our applicant tracking system (ATS).
Contribute to policy formulation, hiring procedures, and salary administration.
Assist HR executives with clerical and administrative duties, including report generation and pulling relevant data.
Participate in HR-related training programs, workshops, and seminars.
Aid in event planning for marketing and recruiting initiatives as required.
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to HR matters.
Adapt to a dynamic and changing environment while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Prepare and submit reports on HR activities.
Stay updated on the latest HR best practices to enhance workplace efficiency.
Perform other related duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of two years' experience in an HR Assistant or similar administrative role.
Bachelor's Degree in an HR-related field or equivalent experience of five years in practical HR work.
Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
Knowledge of onboarding processes and procedures.
Familiarity with employment law and HR responsibilities.
Proficiency with HRIS or HRMS systems, with experience in UKG Ready being preferred.
Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and software.
Basic knowledge of labor laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Prior experience handling confidential information with discretion.
Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Enthusiasm for both collaborative team-based work and independent tasks, coupled with a proactive approach to learning and taking initiative.
Ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.
Previous experience in healthcare services, medical staffing, and/or government contracting is a plus.
