Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Instructor to lead an engaging online 3-credit undergraduate course titled "Introduction to Oceanography." This unique opportunity is for the 2023 summer session, running from 6/26/23 to 7/21/23.
Course Highlights
You will have the chance to introduce undergraduate students to the captivating world of oceanography. With a focus on "big picture" processes and the interdisciplinary nature of the field, you'll explore the geological, physical, chemical, and biological aspects of ocean-related phenomena.
Flexible Learning Format
The course will be offered in two all-online sessions (winter/summer), providing students with convenient access to knowledge from anywhere. Additionally, the course occasionally features a hybrid format (winter), allowing you to take your oceanographic expertise to the field, conducting hands-on lessons with students once a week.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess a PhD and have experience teaching the relevant topics. Research experience will be an asset, but most importantly, we value your passion for educating and inspiring young minds.
