LOGCAP HR/People Director
The HR/People Director of the LOGCAP program oversees and manages the strategic direction, planning, coordination, administration and evaluation of the human resources function and services within the RS&S LOGCAP program. With over 2,000 team members in ten countries, the program is supported by 25 HR/People professionals. The HR/People Director is responsible for developing and implementing effective plans, systems, policies and processes related to workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management and development, employee engagement, legal compliance and recordkeeping, and employee relations. This role requires a collaborative and strategic business partner who can build consensus and commitment toward shared outcomes. The position has a matrix reporting relationship to the Sr. HR/People Director and Vice President, LOGCAP.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Leads HR staff in multiple locations, overseeing the planning and administration of all HR activities.
- Provides oversight of the LOGCAP employee life cycle processes.
- Knowledge of the military’s SHARP program and the ability to obtain SHARP certification.
- Stays updated on relevant employment laws and regulations at the local, state and national level, and ensures organizational compliance. Provides education and advice to managers and senior leaders on HR-related legal and regulatory matters.
- Proactively mitigates legal risk through training and education, establishing clear systems and processes for managing conflicts and complaints, and conducting investigations into allegations of unjust practices.
- Partners with the leadership team to formulate, develop, implement, and evaluate an HR and Talent Management Strategy aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, and goals within the LOGCAP program.
- Demonstrates the ability to develop and deliver employee and leadership training.
- Represents LOGCAP in RS&S Senior Leadership meetings.
- Prepares recommendations for LOGCAP senior management regarding human resources issues, including administrative and corrective actions.
- Acts as an advisor to senior leadership on the people strategy for the LOGCAP program.
- Recommends and implements HR policies and programs within LOGCAP that support the overall RS&S mission.
- Provide timely updates and communication to Senior Leadership on routine and critical operations.
- Collaborates with IHR/Legal to identify and document visa processes and requirements within the LOGCAP area of responsibility.
- Investigates employee relations matters, including COBC and "Hotline" issues.
- Leads, manages, and develops assigned staff for efficient utilization of human resources, including assignment, performance, morale, and overall welfare.
- Manages the daily activities and support services of assigned staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ensures compliance of LOGCAP programs, practices and policies with applicable laws, regulations, and KBR company policies.
- Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of personnel records required by law, local government bodies, or other departments within the organization.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Education:
- Extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel required.
- HRCI and/or SHRM Certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in analysis, critical decision-making, project management, and process improvement.
- Minimum ten (10) years senior-level experience in human resources management.
- In-depth knowledge of US Employment Laws, including understanding of unions, and their application.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems applications, with preference given to Workday HRMS modules.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to partner with and influence senior leadership.
- Previous experience in overseas projects with diverse workforces and military operations.
- Strong business acumen and leadership ability.
- Familiarity of visa and immigration processes for European countries.
- Experience leading HR functions/teams across multiple geographic locations.
- Knowledge of HR strategy development and implementation.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and passport.
- Must hold or be able to secure a security clearance.
