Job Description

An industry-leading safety and compliance solutions provider is looking for an HR Data Analyst to support HR projects, programs, and data/reporting requirements. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in statistical analysis techniques and methodologies and demonstrates a solid understanding of HR processes, metrics, and best practices.

Salary: $37.50/hr

Location: Houston, TX – REMOTE LOCAL

Type of Position: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support HR initiatives and business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations in all data analysis and reporting activities.
  • Develop and maintain HR analytics dashboards and reports, utilizing tools such as Excel, HRIS, and data visualization software.
  • Implement methodologies and tools to optimize HR processes. (ex. Templates, Project Planning & Tracking).
  • Stay updated on HR data trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance data analysis capabilities.
  • Conduct audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy within HR systems and databases.
  • Support engagement and culture initiative committee with ad hoc projects.
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting support to HR and business leaders as needed.
  • Collaborate with HR team to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Support LMS administration.
  • Identify and propose process improvements for data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage new hire communications in collaboration with on boarding team.
  • Assist with talent management, ad hoc projects. Support vendor management.
  • Support HR program implementations and initiatives for compensation, benefits, payroll, performance management, and training areas.
  • Prepare and deliver assigned federal and state reporting and filings (ex. California Pay Data, EEO-1, etc.).
  • Support the development and maintenance of HR metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze workforce data, including turnover rates, employee engagement, performance metrics, and diversity and inclusion data.

Requirements:

  • Strong Technical - HRIS / Payroll Systems skills (Ceridian preferred)
  • Advanced Excel & report writing skills, including V-Lookup & Pivot Tables
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and analyze complex datasets
  • 4-7 years of related experience
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, metrics, and best practices
  • Familiarity with HR systems and databases and the ability to extract and manipulate data from various sources
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies


Preferred qualifications include:

  • Familiarity with Compensation fundamentals and maintenance
  • Familiarity with Organizational Compliance and Audit functions
  • Familiarity with DOL Regulations
