About The Role


Our Public Sector Team works directly in quantum sensing, post-quantum cryptography, and quantum simulation and optimization to address bleeding edge problems for federal government agencies. Working in coordination with the US Account Director of Sales, the Account Executive (Fed Civ) will act as a primary interface with customers and industry partners across the Federal Civilian and adjacent markets including those aligned with advanced technical, cyber, and healthcare market strategy.


Core Responsibilities


  • Developing and executing customer contact plans, customer workshops, demonstrations, educational sessions, support proposal response and closing on new business or product orders.
  • Developing a clear and actionable growth strategy for key verticals in coordination with the Federal leadership team. This will include guidance for market segment strategic planning, leadership for individual pursuit strategies, and providing foundations for other groups to develop other corporate strategies.
  • Provide support to federal conferences / trade shows by acting as the lead for key partner engagement on behalf of corporate business development, corporate strategic development, technology, and others, as required.
  • Maintaining and maturing current business relationships, growing the opportunity pipeline, supporting capture efforts, and growing federal contract orders and product revenue.


Qualifications And Skills


  • An aptitude for strategic, financial analysis, capture management, and teaming.
  • Diplomatic, persuasive, and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external senior executives.
  • Knowledge and experience in the federal acquisition process.
  • Experience working on complex projects, short deadlines, and competing priorities
  • US Citizenship is required due to USG contract requirements.
  • You’re a natural leader. People follow you around with your positive personality traits.
  • Secret to Top Secret security clearance is preferred (not required).
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Federal Government Sales or Business Development.
  • You care about customer service and success.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, time-management, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical issues into succinct, cohesive summaries or presentations.
  • Previous experience in the Federal Civilian market, including but not limited to DHS, HHS, DOJ, FBI, DOT, DOE, IRS, SSA or related industry community.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach to business development, project management, and organization.
  • Open to travel 25-50% time depending on pursuit strategy.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Established and successful reputation in the federal civilian market.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
