Contract and 100% Onsite

SUMMARY:

• Coordinating with drivers covering unassigned loads monitoring loads for on-time delivery managing driver safety and handling any problems outside normal office hours.
• This entry-level management position is responsible for learning all aspects of fleet operations.
• This position will work with an experienced supervisor to gain the necessary training and knowledge to prepare them for success within fleet operations.
• You will also assume the position of weekend night daytime dispatch and other duties as needed.
• The associate will be involved in daily duties surrounding the dispatch operations of fleet trucks including;
• This position may work within various departments within transportation including load planning shuttle regional operations to grasp an overall picture of the operation.
• This position no longer requires a college degree.

REQUIREMENTS:

Be able to work a varying work schedule.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 6 months of long-haul dispatch experience required.

Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires basic computer skills such as e-mail excel word.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Motivated self-starter who has the desire to learn and the ability to lead and motivate others.
