Role Responsibilities


The VP – Corporate Development / Integration Project Management will be a member of the Integration Management Office, executing on merger & acquisitions integration projects to ensure continuous alignment with the lines of businesses, improve onboarding experience for newly acquired employees, and enhance transparency and accountability across all integration workstreams. The VP will be responsible for establishing and monitoring roadmaps, proactively following up with relevant teams to remove blockers, and defining/documenting processes. In addition, the VP is expected to be the buffer between the lines of businesses and shared services teams, i.e., HR, IT, Finance, Legal, etc., and make decisions on behalf of the business (when appropriate) to minimize management distraction. The VP role is expected to have a good handle on how to implement integration best practices to existing processes and creating frameworks / templates for workstreams to digest and implement.


Program Planning


  • Establish and confirm all key interdependencies across various workstreams
  • Develop sequencing plans to oversee large scale projects with objective to ensure functional teams (i.e., HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Compliance, Real Estate, Legal, etc.) can deliver projects on time, on budget, and on scope
  • Make decisions on behalf of the business to minimize management distraction; otherwise, produce a comprehensive recommendation to present to the business
  • Align with the lines of businesses to ensure the shared services integration plans meet the businesses’ needs


Program Execution


  • Establish and coordinate program-wide meeting cadence, lead meetings and document next steps (including capturing & following up on action items and ensuring senior stakeholders regularly provide inputs and are kept up to date on critical risks and progress)
  • Coordinate sub-projects/tasks among lines of businesses and shared services
  • Facilitate preparation of materials and run of show for SteerCos
  • Take responsibility and accountability and drive planning and resolution (e.g., for critical blockers or program-level / cross-functional dependencies), providing key stakeholders with timely updates
  • Focus on change management to ensure smooth onboarding experience for newly acquired employees and make sure they are receiving updates on the various phases of integration and changes on processes
  • Establish baseline best practices, policies, reporting dashboards, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization


Program Risk Management & Reporting


  • Drive issue resolution, risk identification and mitigation; maintain and prioritize list of issues and proactively assuring their resolution through appropriate party
  • Work with the finance team to track actual integration spend vs. budget at a detailed level and perform financial analysis
  • Lead discussions on how to improve existing processes and proactively identify alternative detailed solutions
  • Develop and update presentations and dashboards for executive and board level audiences to track integration progress
  • Perform program risk assessment and assist in evaluating and identifying controls for the risks
  • Develop project plans and updates as needed to facilitate changing requirements
  • Develop framework templates to apply integration best practices that can be used by all integration workstreams
  • Able to put together excel spreadsheets with detailed formulas to perform detailed financial analysis
  • Create project reporting (e.g., status updates, reviews) and deliver presentations indicating progress report; monitor and report progress against milestones, providing quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Produce content that requires zero to minimal revisions by manager


Qualifications


  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools
  • Ability to negotiate with competing priorities among stakeholders and find the best solutions without compromising the overall solution
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • 10-15 years of project management experience
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible if requirements change
  • Assertive, with the confidence to be voice of authority – not afraid to do what is best for the business
  • Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience managing large initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Ability to create concise presentations for senior management (with minimal guidance)
  • Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills with the ability to effectively and creatively solve problems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $155,400 to $225,300, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
