Job Description

Our client, a Global Merchandise company, is seeking a VP of Sales to join their NY team.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish department specific KPIs
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of US retail market
  • Drive innovative ideas to support sales growth opportunities
  • Lead the sales organization with focus on strategic brand placement
  • Partner with internal licensing team
  • Develop retailer specific programs
  • Travel for in-person meetings with retailers and partners to develop/maintain key relationship
  • Work with all tiers of retail from department store to specialty to mass


Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge and skill in developing strategic business plans and budgeting
  • Experience working with licensed product
  • 7+ years in senior sales management role
  • Exceptional written, listening, and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • 10+ years retail sales experience in apparel, current buyer relationships
  • Creative approach to problem solving short/long term challenges
