Job Description

Our client is looking to expand its project level investment platform focused around clean energy. We are looking for a VP or AVP within a project finance team or coming from a debt focused bank. The candidate needs to be very proficient when looking at project documentation - offtake agreements, PPA's etc.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present investment proposals to the senior management and investment committee, effectively communicating the strategic rationale and financial merits of each opportunity.
  • Lead the financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation of potential renewable energy investment opportunities, assessing their feasibility and alignment with our investment strategy.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, policy developments, and technological advancements within the renewable energy sector, leveraging insights to inform investment decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, industry partners, and financial institutions to source new investment opportunities and strengthen our market presence.
  • Monitor the ongoing performance of portfolio investments, analyzing financial and operational metrics to identify opportunities for value enhancement and risk mitigation.
  • Structure complex financial models to evaluate project economics, cash flows, and potential risks, ensuring accurate projections and informed decision-making.



Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for sustainability and the transition to clean energy.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project development processes, and industry dynamics.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, project finance, or related fields, with a strong focus on renewable energy projects.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across functions and seniority levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
