Job Overview/Purpose:
As an associate in the Origination function within the VCFNA team, the job holder is responsible for:

• Supporting senior team members in sourcing new opportunities within the mandate of Value Chain Finance in North America (prepare presentations, run data analysis, etc.)
• Contributing to the structuring and execution process of new deals and significant amendments together with colleagues in the origination or transaction management functions
• Being a reliable resource to senior team members in an effort to contribute to the team’s overall success

As an integral part the product team (VCFNA), the candidate will need to be both a good team player as well as be able “get things done”. There will be a learning curve for the candidate to get up to speed on the VCF product suite as well as Rabobank internal processes specific to the role, the candidate is expected to put in the necessary time to learn all aspects of the job with the assistance of resources at hand, including other team members. Regardless of the starting point on the learning curve the candidate is expected to contribute from day 1 in supporting other team members on preparing power point presentations, working on excel models and written communication.

• The associate will have the opportunity to work directly on structured finance transactions (as part of broader deal team), new business development projects including energy transition and have a fast learning & development opportunity.
• The candidate should have excellent communication skills in dealing with external and internal stakeholders and be well suited to work in in a hybrid working environment consisting of working from home and open floor / dealing room setting in office.
• It is a preference for the candidate to have some working experience in wholesale banking and have a good working knowledge of debt capital market products and financial analysis.

• Assist in internal approval processes for new deals 30%
• Ad hoc projects (business development research, regulatory impact analysis, portfolio analysis) 20%
• Support in origination of new transactions & new business initiatives 50%

Job Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:

• Strong technical skills (product knowledge, financial modelling, MS office programs)

Qualifications:
Essential:

• BS/BA in a relevant field
• 3+ years relevant work experience in wholesale banking

Target Hiring Range:
$115,000 - $185,000
This position is subject to the terms of Rabobank’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to Rabobank employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
