What You’ll Be Doing


Strong Associate level candidate needed to support the US Project Finance & Infrastructure team. He/she will work on detailed financial modeling, present proposed transactions to management and credit group. The candidate will be responsible for on-going monitoring of booked assets and conduct due diligence on new transactions. He/she will also assist in identifying new clients, interface with internal product groups and assist in creating marketing materials.


The successful candidate will be flexible to work hours as needed to help deliver a great client experience, which may include evenings and weekends.

How You’ll Succeed


  • Assist in identifying new clients
  • Assist in closing transactions, including managing external consultants, advisors and legal counsel
  • Interface with internal product groups, including rates, commodities, debt capital markets, and investment banking
  • Present proposed transactions to management and credit group
  • Complete detailed financial modeling
  • Execute continuous monitoring of booked assets
  • Assist in creating marketing materials
  • Conduct due diligence on new transactions
  • Collect, assemble and analyze market data

Conduct and Culture Risk

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. The Associate I role has an expected salary range of $145,000 - $155,000 for the New York, New York market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component. CIBC offers a full range of benefits and programs to meet our employee’s needs; including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance, Disability, and Other Insurance Plans, Paid Time Off (including Sick Leave, Parental Leave, and Vacation), Holidays, and 401(k), in addition to other special perks reserved for our team members.


Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
