HSBC Sustainable Finance’s mission is to support our clients to become more sustainable across climate, nature, and social/inclusion priorities and help companies transition to a lower-carbon economy. The Sustainable Finance Associate will work with relationship managers and the Sustainable Finance team to cover Commercial Banking opportunities with “Green” companies and renewable energy project developers and across CMB US through the provision of sustainable finance solutions, as well as to cover new-to-bank opportunities. The team also support relationship managers’ coverage of new and existing customers that are interested in reducing their carbon footprints.
Here’s what you can expect:
As our Sustainable Finance Associate, you will research prospects, clients, industries, and innovations in systainability, develop pitches, manage our pipeline, and support prospecting, client/prospect planning, deal structuring and other activities. We’re looking for someone with a strong interest in Sustainable Finance that wants to continue learning and can help us execute the strategy.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $106,800.00 and $160,200.00.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

• Client-facing experience
• Appreciation of working in a global environment
• Experience in a client-focused environment with a demonstrated understanding of Corporate Banking
• Credit training /underwriting experience
• Good verbal and written communications skills
