We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Senior Vice President & Executive Director to lead the charge in semiconductor expansion, management, and integration efforts within our organization. As the driving force behind this initiative, you will play a pivotal role in supporting semiconductor manufacturers' projects across New York State.
What You'll Be Doing
Pioneering Leadership: You will manage a talented team responsible for overseeing economic development projects related to the semiconductor industry, including supply chain companies. Your innovative leadership will be the catalyst for transformative growth.
Building Powerful Partnerships: Collaborating with governmental entities, business groups, community-based organizations, and educational institutions, you'll forge strong partnerships across the state. These connections will be the backbone of our success.
Community Engagement: Through engaging community and stakeholder meetings, you will ensure that our projects align with local needs and aspirations. Your ability to inspire and connect will drive meaningful change.
Nurturing Industry Relationships: You'll foster lasting relationships with existing semiconductor manufacturers and supply chain partners, ensuring mutual success and substantial benefits for all New Yorkers.
Public Discourse: Plan and execute thought-provoking public discussions on workforce development, sustainable land use, and environmental impact. Your voice will help shape policies that shape our future.
Inspiring Advocacy: Through public speaking engagements, you will champion the importance of the semiconductor industry and its significant contributions to our state's growth.
Strategic Collaboration: Working with local and national leaders, you'll design and launch programs that ensure the long-term success of semiconductor manufacturing projects, making New York a hub for innovation.
Government Coordination: By facilitating coordination between state agencies, local partners, and the Federal government, you'll optimize support and incentives for New York's semiconductor ecosystem.
Innovation Catalyst: Identifying and pursuing opportunities to attract cutting-edge technology and manufacturing companies to New York State, you'll nurture partnerships that drive progress.
Special Projects: You'll spearhead unique initiatives that set the stage for groundbreaking advancements in the semiconductor industry.
What You'll Need
Passion for Semiconductors: An understanding of semiconductor technology, industry manufacturing processes, and the drive to push the boundaries of innovation.
Policy Expertise: Experience in government policy or relevant focus areas like community development, social equity, and sustainability will be advantageous.
Engaging Communication: Your ability to captivate audiences with your public speaking and press responses will inspire support and trust.
Leadership Experience: With a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory/management experience, you'll be well-equipped to lead and empower your team.
