Instructional Technologist - Remote | Wfh

We are looking for a dedicated Instructional Technologist to join our team, supporting a dynamic and inclusive learning environment at our institution. You will play a pivotal role in assisting faculty members in harnessing the power of technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Your work will revolve around supporting our Learning Management System and various third-party integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Empower Faculty: Provide consultative guidance and project-based support to our esteemed faculty members, helping them utilize instructional technology effectively in their teaching practices.
Enhance User Experience: Assess the use of native and third-party tools, identifying any issues or areas for improvement. Share insights with leadership to drive enhancements and optimizations.
Knowledge Sharing: Maintain and update knowledge-based articles for our educational community to ensure easy access to valuable resources.
Responsive Support: Respond promptly to user tickets, addressing their issues and fulfilling requests to ensure a seamless learning experience.
Collaborative Spirit: Collaborate closely with leadership, service managers, and fellow team members within our Emerging Technology Services and Instructional Technology Services teams.
Emergency Response: In the event of service disruptions or outages, be prepared to provide assistance during off-hours.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification is required.
Preferred Education: A Bachelor's Degree in instructional technology or a related field is strongly preferred.
Professional Experience: At least 3 years of relevant professional experience, including prior involvement in supporting learning management systems.
Preferred Experience: Ideally, you have 3+ years of relevant professional experience in higher education and have worked directly with faculty members to meet their teaching and learning needs.
Skills And Abilities
Tech Savvy: Proficiency in supporting learning management systems and third-party integrations (e.g., D2L Brightspace, Sakai, Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas), web conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet), and other educational applications.
Effective Communicator: Strong written and oral communication skills, with a keen eye for quality and creativity.
Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities and manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Initiative: A proactive self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, consistently meeting project deadlines.
Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive, cooperative attitude that aligns with our university's mission and values.

Experience managing a portfolio of enterprise applications supporting higher education.

Vendor and contract management experience.

Additional Information
The annual base salary range for this position falls between USD $69,300.00 to USD $84,700.00. Please note that this range represents the base salary only and does not include additional items like incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other benefits.
