Job Description
Key Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and insurance information for our patients. Your responsibilities include:
Reviewing all statements before sending them to patients
Evaluating self-pay accounts for potential insurance information
Assessing and resolving eligibility denials for clients
Verifying correct no-fault and workers' compensation carrier information
Location:
This position is based at the GLMI Billing Office, with the option for remote work.

Duties And Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Reviewing, printing, and mailing paper claims to insurance carriers.
Checking multiple client databases for insurance eligibility and updates.
Utilizing insurance carrier websites to verify patient insurance information.
Understanding patient statements.
Processing medical records requests.
Rectifying claims rejected due to inaccuracies.
Correcting returned mail with incorrect addresses.
Inputting charges that were not received electronically.
Handling incoming patient phone calls.
Prioritizing your workload effectively.
Meeting monthly goals set by management.
Adhering to companywide and interdepartmental policies and procedures.
Performing other duties as assigned by management.
Necessary Skills
To excel in this role, you will need:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Competency in using a computer and basic office equipment.
Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills.
The ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Salary: $ 16.00 18.00 Per Hour
