Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our team. The Senior HR Generalist will play a key role in managing and executing a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, and HR policy development. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Human Resources and senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
Employee Relations
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on HR-related matters, providing guidance and support.
- Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
Performance Management
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Conduct market research to ensure competitive compensation and benefits offerings.
- Assist employees with compensation and benefits inquiries and provide guidance on program eligibility and utilization.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues and ensure consistency in performance management practices across the organization.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement and implement strategies to enhance employee productivity and engagement.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
- Collaborate with the HR team and Finance department to develop and administer compensation and benefits programs.
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
HR Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
- Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and legal developments to ensure compliance and recommend policy revisions as necessary.
- Train managers and employees on HR policies and ensure consistent application and understanding across the organization.
Qualifications
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including experience as an HR Generalist.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, and HR policy development.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
