Job Description
Are you an accomplished HR professional who enjoys organizing multiple projects and digging into the details? Would you appreciate the opportunity to coordinate teams and recruit top talent to drive the goals of a humanitarian-focused organization? This diverse, collaborative non-profit, focused on providing equity to low-to-moderate-income communities through clean energy solutions, is seeking an analytical, adaptable HR Manager to lead their people management functions. In this role, you will oversee the entire employee lifecycle, including recruitment, engagement, benefits, payroll, performance management, employee relations, and policy maintenance & updates. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Washington, D.C. The chosen candidate will work a hybrid schedule and come in-office twice a month for two days at a time.

Must Haves
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or other related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent communication; ability to coordinate a team
  • 3-5 years spent in human resources management and administration, including serving as an HR Manager or other leader
  • Experience with the recruitment and selection process, from scheduling to interviewing while utilizing talent management systems
  • Background processing payroll and handling employee benefits such as health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, retirement, voluntary benefits such as life & flexible spending accounts (FSA)
  • Proficiency with any HRIS system
  • Aptitude with employee retention solutions
Nice-to-Haves
  • People supervision/management experience
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Background utilizing BenefitMall or other system to manage aggregated benefits
