We are looking for a part-time contract employee to help support the HR team on a variety of projects that help support the Hinkley team. Must be an experienced roll-up-your-sleeves team player who can lead projects to completion.
We expect this in-office contract opportunity to last up to six (6) months. The role requires 25 -32 hours per week. There is room for flexibility on desired scheduled hours (as long as within business hours range of 8 am to 5 pm) and days of week (as long as working at least 4 days of standard Monday through Friday work week).
A strong focus of this role will be working in our HRIS system (Paylocity) to help drive, troubleshoot, document, finalize (and in some cases start new) the implementation of various modules within software such as applicant tracking (recruitment), employee workflows, insights, reporting and more.
Project involvement will vary, areas of focus for this role include (but not limited to):
- Help develop recognition ideas and programs.
- Works under the general direction and guidance of the Human Resource Director.
- Digital HR related file cleanup and organization; may include scanning/saving records from paper to digital.
- Assist with creating safety-related policies, procedures and developing related training materials.
- Partner with HR on continued implementation of Paylocity recruitment module (process documentation, manager training, candidate evaluation forms, etc.). May assist with coordination of candidate interviews within software and help pull historical candidate info from other systems into Paylocity Recruitment for future reference.
- May help support employee relations activities /events (outside vendor coordination, communications, etc.
- Helps develop/update HR resource materials (FAQ documents, forms, templates, SharePoint and more)
- Helps pull data and for current HR metrics and help with research on potential new KPI areas.
- Reviews and updates job descriptions as needed, makes suggestions for template and content improvement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assist in the development and/or revisions of Human Resource Policies/procedures.
- Drive HRIS data accuracy projects – finding and resolving issues and clean-up of historical data.
- Assist with a variety of Learning Management System (LMS) related project work such as reporting, developing learning paths, creating Hinkley HR content, evaluating courses, updating course library, etc.
- Supervision Received
- Provide timely and accurate assistance to employees by answering email inquiries related to benefits, HR policies, and more.
- Help drive implementation of various HRIS module improvements: benefits, performance, May draft and help distribute (print + Intranet) professional and concise employee communications.
Level and Type of Education
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field.
Related Work Experience
- 5+ years human resources-related work experience in a corporate environment.

- Prior experience working with Paylocity or equivalent payroll/HRIS experience required.
