Job Description
Are you a well-rounded HR leader with over 8 years of experience in all aspects of HR including HRIS administration; strategic planning; benefits & compensation management; compliance; training & development; and performance management? Are you highly adaptable and like to make sense of chaos?


Our HR Manager is responsible for the entire employee lifecycle from onboarding, training and development, performance management, retention, and offboarding. This includes creating an enriching environment where employees can thrive in their careers with Corner Alliance. The HR Manager is an essential member of the Corner Alliance Operations Team and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The successful candidate will understand the importance of strategically balancing the company's best interests while creating an environment that supports employee growth and development.


Functional Responsibilities Include


Onboarding


  • Review and upgrade orientation process and materials
  • Manage the company-level on-boarding and orientation program


Employee Engagement, Internal Communications, and Events
  • Measure employee engagement and provide recommendations to the Leadership Team for improving overall engagement
  • Oversee planning and logistical execution of internal communications and initiatives including monthly and annual All Hands company meetings and events and DEI and Community of Practice initiatives
  • Measure and determine the effectiveness of culture initiatives on employee engagement and retention
  • Provide oversight and direction to internal teams focused on culture initiatives; use employee data to identify culture initiatives needed to improve engagement
  • Build strong relationships across departments as well as design and implement goals around HR priorities while focusing on employee engagement


Training and Development
  • Determine and administer corporate and compliance training throughout the organization
  • Establish and maintain a corporate training calendar and cadence
  • Collaborate with the Director of Consulting to identify and execute training opportunities for the project teams


Human Resources (HR), Compensation, and Benefits
  • Collaborate with the Director of Consulting to manage and upgrade the Career Model
  • Ensure compliance with HR guidelines and policies; manage the HR legal consultant relationship
  • Oversee the offboarding process
  • Review the Corner Alliance benefits package, discover new possible benefits, explore options, and make recommendations; manage annual renewal, benefits administration, reporting, and benefits broker relationship; answer or redirect benefits inquiries from staff
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of compensation initiatives, program implementation, market analysis, administration of bas e pay & incentive programs, and compliance
  • Maintain and institutionalize key employee-focused documentation such as the employee handbook


Performance Management
  • Provide support for performance issues and non-voluntary employee separation company-wide
  • Oversee performance improvement plan process
  • Manage and refine the compensation and incentive program
  • Manage and refine the performance management process, including regular meetings with the performance managers group to promote manager collaboration, consistency, and best practices
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team on developing and implementing standards, expectations, and tools for performance managers company-wide


Office/IT Management
  • Oversee management of remote/virtual work environment
  • Establish and maintain the security of Corner Alliance equipment and systems
  • Oversee the procurement, management, and tracking of Corner Alliance equipment
  • Manage, maintain, and upgrade HR processes and systems
  • Manage IT vendor relationship
  • Develop, as needed, and maintain standard operating procedures for Corner Alliance systems


Team Management
  • Develop and coach team members to enhance their career and personal growth
  • Manage the performance and taskings of team members

  • You will work as part of dynamic team remotely.


Required Experience:
  • Proven ability to scale the company with HR strategy and programs for growth
  • Previous experience creating a culture that attracts, engages, and retains top, diverse talent
  • Demonstrated experience tracking and implementing compliance for growing Federal government contractor
  • Ability to counsel employees and managers while ultimately doing what is in the best interest of the company and protecting it from liability
  • Collaborate with senior leadership teams and design growth strategies as well as working with employee teams to improve processes, solve problems, and develop team members.
  • 8+ years of progressive growth within HR, 5 years of which leading the HR function for an organization and/or a line of business, in a professional services environment
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the business
