Position: Regional Sales Leader
Reports to: VP of Sales
Compensation Range: $90,000-$130,000 base. Generous commission structure with variable compensation at achievement of plan and uncapped upside.
Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Leader will build and lead WellAir’s strategy and execution of sales into the Midwestern US.They will partner closely with manufacturers’ reps and with Commercial Plan and Spec Representatives on behalf of WellAir.This role will develop ‘trusted advisor’ relationships with new and existing customers within the channel by serving as a subject matter expert on WellAir products and services and by understanding customer needs related to driving customer awareness.Will develop tools, programs, approaches, and points-of-view on industry trends to help ensure the growth of WellAir sales into the channel.
Duties Include:
Business Development
ØCollaborates with WellAir Reps, distributors, contractors, architects, engineers and building owners to identify and pursue strategic business development opportunities across the country.
ØPresents WellAir’s offering and then drives our ‘gold standard’ indoor air quality and surface disinfection line to be the planned spec for opportunities.
ØOwns the region.Owns relationships with channel partners and adds or terminates them as needed.
ØServes as a subject matter expert on WellAir products and services in the preparation and presentation of formal solution-based proposals to key decision makers.
ØAnalyzes and interprets market data and industry trends and then shares customer insights and competitive intelligence.
ØUtilizes market intelligence and customer feedback to continue to refine WellAir’s product positioning, selling narratives, and commercial program structure to best serve customer’s needs.
Client Relationships
ØIn collaboration with WellAir’s existing partners, serves as a ‘trusted advisor’ to selected high-opportunity clients, as directed by the VP Sales.
ØManages relationships with partner firms, setting and measuring performance goals, conducting business reviews and recruiting new firms as needed.
ØContributes to the development of sales growth strategies that allow for both high-level engagement and the strengthening of partnership relationships with customers.
ØMeets with selected prospects and current clients to develop an understanding of their business including how to use WellAir’s dealer programs to help them grow their business.
ØArticulates the value of WellAir products, services and solutions with the goal of influencing sales revenue growth and driving market penetration.
Delivery of Services
ØConducts product and technical training to contractors and distributor personnel to ensure a best-in-class delivery of the value proposition of WellAir solutions.
ØProvides technical and engineering support to Spec Reps, distributors, contractors, architects, and engineers.
ØPartners with WellAir’s cross-functional teams to develop and support customer solutions.
Other Duties:
ØContributes to, participates in, and provides facilitation for regional marketing events, as directed by the VP of Sales.
ØPartners closely with Marketing and Product teams to provide partners with the tools needed to win in a competitive environment, and to share market info with internal teams.
ØWorks collaboratively across WellAir to share best practices with sales leadership and other RSLs.
ØHelps build out a team culture focused on collaboration and everyone winning together.
ØContributes to the winning of new opportunities, the advancement of existing opportunities, and an increase in the number of high-quality interactions in partnership review meetings.
ØOther duties as may be determined by the VP of Sales.
Experience:
ØBachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
ØMust reside within the Midwest region, preferably near a large airport.
Ø5+ years of experience in B2B sales.Experience in distribution-related sales, commercial HVAC sales, or similar experience is preferred but not required.
ØExperience working with engineers in a plan and spec-based environment
ØExperience in selling product/solution offerings in a B2B model
ØProven track record for quota attainment
ØExperience with advanced facilitation in challenging situations
ØExperience in managing multiple customer relationships simultaneously
ØExperience in Account Management
Work Environment:
Remote office environment including sitting or standing for extended periods of time to read, write, operate computer at desk and conduct meetings and/or training sessions.Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time.Requires adaptability, quick decision making, oral communication, dependability, good judgment, reading, social skills, stress controls, ability to work independently, speak publicly, influence and relate to others, oral communication.
