Job Description

The Regional Manager is responsible for managing Hess brands within his/her assigned territory. In essence this involves the Planning, Program setting, Performance evaluation and Course Correcting of distributor teams, a process we call PEECC. This role is responsible for the following 3 state region: SoCal General Market, Arizona, Hawaii. Ideally the candidate will reside in the Los Angeles metro area.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Execute annual operating plan for depletions and shipments for all channels while keeping spend within budget. Evaluate and course correct distributor performance through quarterly business reviews and Milestone Program execution.
  • Train and develop distributor account executives and sales representatives to ensure they have a strong working knowledge of our product credentials (key selling points), quality accolades, pricing and merchandising standards and access to trade portal.
  • Establish relationships with distributor sales leadership, key regional accounts and chain retail personnel.
  • Manage regional sales budgets, including pricing structures, pricing support, invoices and programs.
  • Lead sales meetings, blitzes, surveys, winemaker visits and other sales promotional activities within the region.
  • Undertake a rigorous bottoms-up Annual Operating Plan with the distributor, defining depletions and points growth by channel for each distributor.
Qualifications Requirements
  • Demonstrated effective people, sales, and time management skills.
  • Experience managing distributor partnerships specifically as it relates to building pricing grids, goal alignment/achievement, and developing programs.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, developing, and implementing market plans that drive an increased rate of sale.
  • Candidate must be able to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license or be able to travel in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent) from a four-year college or university with at least four years experience in the industry, two of those years in wine/spirits supplier activities.

This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $85,000 - $100,000 annual salary. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge and education.
