National Event Coordinator Jobs

About the role: You Are Athlete is a leading sports brand that hosts football camps for elite high school athletes. We’re looking to hire an organized individual who can assist in event operations. The ideal candidate will be able to travel, converse with vendors and staff, book accommodations, hire event staff, and utilize social media. As the lead event coordinator, you will be an essential piece in organizing each camp.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a complete understanding of the requirements for every event
• Travel nationally 12 weeks of the year.
• Develop content for event materials and work with the media team to post on social media.

Pre event

• Book flights + hotel for staff
• Hire personnel as needed across all functions of an event (coaches, athletic trainers, media team)

In City

• Pick up gear + equipment on Thursday
• Set up gear + equipment at the Venue on Friday

At the event

• Develop content for social media and work with media team to produce
• Pack up equipment w/ Ops Director
• Arrive early Sat. w/ Ops Director to set up

Objectives of this role:

• Oversee the planning and execution of 12 events a year.
• Uphold the company’s mission and vision with every event.
• Keep budgets and timelines under control at all times

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a customer-service mindset
• Excellent organizational, communication, negotiating, and multitasking skills

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Experience in managing budgets and tracking expenses
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in sports management, public relations, sports and fitness administration, or hospitality management.
