Job Description

This position is responsible for developing and executing a plan for growing the Trucking Division nationally through additional market channels. Responsible for ensuring we are providing excellent customer service to our current customer base.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and prospective customers’ sales volumes and identifying the best potential sales.
  • Determines annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies. Analyzes trends and results within the scope established by the local dispatch team.
  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales plans for territories. Projects expected sales volume and profit for existing services.
  • Generates business and establishes new accounts (through distribution and direct opportunities) by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call on existing and potential sales customers.
  • Makes sales presentations to current and potential customers. Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales customer and establishing joint business opportunities and market opportunities.
  • Travels in the market to meet with customers as necessary.



Qualifications:

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the Bachelors’ degree.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred. A minimum of 5 to 10 years sales experience is required, preferably in a transportation environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
