Job Description

The National Education and Event Manager is a key role for the strategic planning, execution, and management of Education in the Professional Distribution channel. This position serves as a critical link between Living Proof and the Distributors for the strategic planning of education programming and resources, in support of sales goals. The role is essential to the sales cycle by delivering the best-in-class education and ongoing support to salons and stylists. Partner with and support our sales organization by bringing education programs and strategies to salons, as well as distributor sales and education teams. Full time field education position reporting to Head of Global Education and Events.


  • Work with Education & Sales leadership to develop and implement innovative strategies for our top salons.
  • Work with Distributor Sales Consultants and educators in their territory
  • Analysis of field education programs and its effect on sales per distributor and nationally
  • Actively participate in distributor strategy meetings to identify education opportunities
  • Develop relationships with Living Proofs distribution network, including Distributor Principals, Sales Consultants, salons, and stylists.
  • Communicate the needs for in-salon education, Distributor trainings and special events
  • Manage additional projects, deliverables and timelines as needed
  • Conduct In-person events nationally, including Product knowledge classes, large scale salon driven events and Distributor events.
  • Identify, recruit and develop freelance educators
  • Assist with driving top salons including events, openings, and acquisitions.
  • Effectively communicate educational initiatives, strategies and direction to Distributors & Sales teams
  • Consistently work to investigate, source and deliver innovative ideas for reaching hairdressers
  • Partner with Salon team on New Distributor and new product launches.
  • Coordinate planning, management and execution of all brand and distributor-sponsored events, conferences, trade shows
  • Assist and support Sales partners with Distributor Sales meetings, and lead when needed
  • Design and write salon curriculum and fact sheets to support education strategies, marketing programs and brand initiatives in collaboration with Global Education


Requirements

  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to embrace and facilitate change
  • Strategic thinker with examples of solving problems and taking initiative
  • Outstanding computer skills are a must, including MSWord, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates must have a strong presence with exceptional presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.
  • Experience leading stylists and managing remotely
  • Expert knowledge of developing trainings for distributor partners
  • Outstanding team player who is able to work collaboratively with all internal & external partners
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the haircare industry in a field management position
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline oriented environment.
  • Professional licensed stylist or equivalent


Annual Base Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000 Commensurate with experience
