Job Description
Manager Talent Acquistion
Location: Remote: you will have to be a Texas Resident
The talent acquisition manager is responsible for the recruitment process, including the management and development of a team of recruiting resources. The recruiting process and market trends will require an ongoing assessment to achieve continuous improvement and the addition of recruitment innovation. The manager will build a consultative relationship with hiring leaders and serve as the point of escalation for concerns. This role will also recruit for designated positions as assigned.
Responsibilities:
  • Support the process and use of applicant assessment tools,
  • Ensure success with department initiatives within budget guidelines.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of talent acquisition initiatives
  • Evaluate the selection matrix for choosing the optimum recruitment channel and recruitment source. Explores the market best practices in recruitment and staffing and implements appropriate best practices in the organization
  • Perform recruitment management function by leading a recruiting team that conducts and coordinates recruiting and selection activities. Perform recruiting assignments that include sourcing candidates, screening applicants, referring qualified candidates to managers, completing reference checks, and preparing and extending salary offers, and ensure that hiring practices are in compliance with all state, federal, and other applicable regulations, as well as Children's policies.
  • Monitors quality metrics and changes in practice that impact clinical, financial, or operational outcomes and develops action plans to address areas for improvement.
  • Create a consultative relationship with leaders by acquiring an intimate knowledge of business functions and jobs, managing workforce plans, serving as an escalation point for concerns, and facilitating issue resolution
  • Implement and execute on diversity and inclusion hiring plans
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and functional priorities; receive guidance from Director, Talent Acquisition or VP, Talent Acquisition on high-impact decisions.
  • Promote and execute a process that results in a positive applicant experience.
  • Provides guidance to others as needed for non-routine and/or complex problems/situations
  • Assist with the development of the training plan for all incoming recruiters, talent acquisition coordinators, and sourcing analysts, as well as providing mentorship, direction, and guidance to aid in talent acquisition efforts.
  • Build, establish, and lead - acquire knowledge of the department’s business and lead a team that embodies an excellent client service orientation resulting in a successful partnership with hiring managers.
  • Assist department managers in developing/modifying relevant job descriptions and department-based interviewing tools.
  • Perform management function by developing annual plan, budget, goals and objectives for Talent Acquisition, monitoring and controlling budgets, preparing ongoing analyses to evaluate effectiveness of programs.
  • Accountable for the performance and results of a team or multiple teams within their own discipline
  • Recruit for designated positions as assigned by the VP, Talent Acquisition.
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, recruiters, social media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits.
  • Design and deliver relevant and appropriate talent strategies centered on attracting and hiring highly skilled, diverse talent. Assist in developing and managing recruiter performance metrics
  • Conduct voice of the applicant and internal customer polling sessions.
  • Works closely with HR leadership and business leaders to create talent acquisition strategies based on business goals, succession-planning inputs, and anticipated turnover.
  • Partnership – build and maintain relationships with HR business partners and their respective client groups; comprehend the client’s business by function and workforce planning, drive successful staffing delivery to support the infrastructure.
  • Makes employment decisions for the team, seeking direction from more senior leaders on more complex situations
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to team leaders on effective recruiting and sourcing techniques
WORK EXPERIENCE
  • At least 5 years of recruitment experience in a corporate or healthcare setting with 3 years' experience managing a recruiting function and recruitment management experience in Operations or Human Resources, with a proven record of success of leading a recruiting team required
EDUCATION
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
