:Summary:
The Senior Manager of Emerging Talent Acquisition will work with talent acquisition, human resources, and other internal stakeholders to develop and manage campus recruiting processes and student talent pipeline development and engagement. The Senior Manager will establish streamlined processes, maximize our enabling technologies and platforms (e.g. Handshake, Yello, Workday, etc.), and develop communication strategies to enhance candidate experience and expand our diversity and inclusion reputation. This role will oversee the recruiting process to ensure standard and efficient execution, adapting as needed to any shifting requirements. A strong focus will be placed on establishing positive candidate experience, recruiter experience and hiring manager experience.
This role will work closely with the business consulting teams to understand current practice and create scalable solutions to improve yield and quality of hire of early career talent for Discover. In addition, this position will liaise with Discover’s Employer Brand, Corporate Communication, Diversity & Inclusion and Law teams to manage internal and external communications. This role will also work with service providers and vendors (e.g. Handshake, Vault, TargetJobs, Pymetrics, etc.) to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met. Using his/her professional network, this position will also stay abreast of current trends with competitors and across other industries to identify enhancement opportunities for Discover.
As a member of the Emerging Talent Acquisition and Development Leadership team, this position will participate and collaborate with the broader Emerging Talent team. The Senior Manager will report to the Director for Emerging Talent and will have frequent opportunities to interface with senior management, including presentations to HR and business leaders on the overall progress of campus recruiting programs and additional collaboration opportunities within Discover Financial Services.
Responsibilities:
Lead team of Emerging Talent Recruiters and Sourcing Specialist and manage the full recruiting cycle for all Emerging Talent Programs and Internship roles.
Work collaboratively with the Emerging Talent Operations and HR Technology to ensure standard processes are accurately supported and enabled by available technology solutions
Work closely with the Emerging Talent business consulting team to understand talent demand, ideal candidate profiles by business unit and how best to identify and develop talent pipelines
Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience, ensuring clear expectations and timeliness in communication, information sharing and follow up
Own the campus candidate development process, including: defining candidate identification and attraction strategy, leveraging EVP content, developing target audience appropriate messaging architecture, creating scalable and repeatable processes, and achieving measurable outcomes
Expand our ability to attract, engage and educate underrepresented populations, including our early identification programs
Partner with Reporting Analyst to leverage systems and reporting capabilities to provide accurate reporting, performance metrics, and data insights to drive decisions
Manages processes to ensure legal and corporate compliance and minimize risk and inefficiencies for the company
Support central programs and activities including office visits, development programs, summer internship and departmental and divisional initiatives
Key metrics for this role include definable quality of hire, strong conversion to hire, increased operational efficiency, process optimization, and high satisfaction from candidates, clients, and HR partners

Work Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Arts & Sciences, or related field
5+ years of management experience in campus recruiting, or related field
Strong orientation to processes, systems and operational efficiency
Excellent communication, collaboration, and self-motivation
Intellectual curiosity and experience creating scalable talent solutions and processes
Solid program development and stakeholder management experience
Outstanding project management and multi-tasking abilities
Exhibits high level of personal and business credibility combined with the ability to handle sensitive information
Promote and ensure effective risk and compliance management practices, adhering to company and legal standards and processes related to employment
Passion for working with and developing college student talent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of leadership experience in campus recruiting and/or working with student populations
Strong experience with change and stakeholder management
Capability to gather data and build insightful metrics and reporting to measure the performance of the programs and processes and analysis
Analytical and systems thinking and a track record of problem solving, continuous improvement and advancement
Previous corporate campus recruiting experience, ideally in financial services or professional services
Influencing and advising business and HR client stakeholders on talent strategies
Experience with STEM student populations and academic programs
Compensation: The base pay for this position generally ranges between $100,500.00 to $170,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
