Job Description
Summary
Human Resources Representative The Strat (Las Vegas, NV) Description:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department including but not limited to recruitment/employment, employee and labor relations, worker’s compensation, benefits, compensation, training and development, HRIS, compliance and shared services.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Check the Human Resources drop box
  • Update name and address changes for terminated employees
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
  • Maintain Human Resources bulletin boards including job boards, birthday boards and announcement boards
  • Coordinate file storage and retrieval with off-site storage company
  • Print current and new employee ID badges
  • Handle incoming calls on multi-phone line
  • Ensure that the Human Resources forms are stocked at all locations
  • Process unemployment claims as needed
  • Maintain and order all office supplies
  • Receive incoming mail/fax and distributes them appropriately
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain the termination log and termination checks
  • Assist employees with obtaining or renewing required work cards
  • Assist with employee events and recognition programs
  • Service employees at the front counter as well as applicants applying for a job
Requirements
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Able to effectively organize materials, set priorities, and provide feedback or follow up
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
  • Previous experience working in a team or group environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small groups, as well as on an individual-basis
  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
  • Verify right to work in the United States
  • Prior experience in Human Resources within the gaming/hospitality industry preferred
