Position Overview


The primary responsibility of the Specialist – Human Resources is to perform work in developing, coordinating, and supporting organizational development and HR Operations programs including Learning, Engagement, Team Member Relations, and Talent Management.


All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Las Vegas Sands Corp.’s policies, practices, and procedures. All Las Vegas Sands Corp. Team Members are expected to conduct and carry themselves in a professional manner at all times. Team Members are required to observe the Company’s standards, work requirements and rules of conduct.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Data entry and troubleshooting support related to Talent Management, Organizational Development, and HR Operations, escalating as necessary to management.
  • Work on project or service to help achieve the objectives of the department.
  • Stays current on all legal and regulatory changes and implements appropriate change management tactics to facilitate best practices.
  • Responsible for providing support and coordination on various projects and activities related to the performance management process, including systems testing, documentation creation, designing and providing measurement standards, and analyzing performance results.
  • Consistently look for and suggest ways to improve processes, procedures, interactions, and develop and update departmental policies, procedures and standards.
  • Assess, evaluate and review data for organizing projects and/or providing direction on activities, tasks or processes in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Enter Leaves of Absence in HR Management system in coordination with Third Part Administrator and Payroll. Produce regular status reports for leadership regarding LOAs and coordinate return to work.
  • Prepare and draft necessary reports, databases, memos, letters and departmental calendars.
  • Perform job duties in a safe manner.
  • Research, develop, design, modify, update, facilitate and evaluate training initiatives, including developing training resources and preparing or previewing training materials, checklists and aids.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Attend work as scheduled on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Assemble materials, create audio, visual and kinesthetic training aids, How-To Guides, and send training histories or other related documents to participants when requested.
  • Arrange timeline to complete tasks and department assignments or projects, and meet the deadlines related to those assignments.


Minimum Qualifications


  • 2 years of facilitation and public speaking/presentation experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
  • Experience with enterprise HR management systems preferred (i.e., Workday, PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP).
  • Proof of authorization to work in the United States.
  • Knowledge of human resources operations processes and functions preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact appropriately with management, other Team Members and outside contacts of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
  • Knowledge of talent and organizational design functions and principles preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access).
  • Experience writing and maintaining documentation related to people, processes, and procedures preferred.

Must be able to:


  • Physically access assigned workspace areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, and dust.
  • Utilize laptop and standard keyboard to perform essential functions of the job.
