We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant who is creative, collaborative, and has a passion for maximizing service and support for our team. As our Human Resources Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining and archiving all HR records, supporting recruiting, onboarding, and team member recognition activities, preparing reports for city managers, labor unions, and HR Management staff, and providing administrative support functions as part of the HR team.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable handling assignments that range from facilitating general office tasks to coordinating departmental projects in a hybrid work environment. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellence in customer service while maintaining momentum with multiple priorities.
This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to expand their knowledge of Human Resources in the Public Sector. We offer a 40-hour workweek with opportunities for remote work.
To qualify for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of varied administrative support experience, preferably involving human resources programs and services. A college degree and seven or more years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
The monthly range for this overtime-eligible position is $4,427.51-$5,788.99 per month. The starting pay assignment is based on an analysis of the successful candidate's related experience and education in accordance with the City's pay equity policy and the Oregon Equal Pay Act.
