Data Imports Developer - Remote | Wfh

We are seeking an experienced Data Imports Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SQL, scripting languages, data manipulation techniques, and secure data access protocols. The primary responsibilities of this role include importing data from various sources, including databases and secured EHR systems, performing data scraping when necessary, and ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of data into our system. The Data Imports Developer will collaborate with the development team and stakeholders to meet import requirements, optimize data import processes, and ensure the secure migration of data from external systems to our platform.
Primary Responsibilities
Import data from various sources, including databases and secured EHR systems.
Develop and maintain scripts for importing, scraping, and migrating data.
Perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations to transfer and transform data between systems.
Utilize web scraping techniques, including secure access to EHR systems, to extract data.
Manipulate data in various formats, such as XML, JSON, and databases.
Collaborate with the team to understand and address import requirements.
Work with legacy environments and code bases.
Optimize import processes for improved performance and efficiency.
Maintain and update import documentation.
Communicate with customers or stakeholders to address import-related inquiries or issues.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of SQL, including proficiency in SELECT, JOIN, and INSERT statements.
Familiarity with reverse engineering databases or a strong desire to learn.
Experience with scripting languages such as PHP, Python, etc.
Knowledge of ETL operations and data transformation techniques.
Proficiency in web scraping techniques, including secure access.
Familiarity with secure data access protocols.
Basic understanding of data formats like XML, JSON, and databases.
Ability to work with legacy environments and code bases.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with MSSQL.
Proficiency in PHP (CLI) and Bash scripting.
