Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated graduate student to join our team as a Project Coordinator for the School Fentanyl Curriculum and toolkit. In collaboration with the Oregon Health Authority's Health Security, Preparedness, and Response program, this role will play a vital part in developing educational resources that address the dangers of synthetic opioids and related legal protections.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with leadership from multiple agencies to develop and execute project plans, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the Toolkit.
Assist in organizing project team meetings, setting agendas, developing materials, and documenting planning activities.
Collaborate with subject matter experts from state agencies and advisory committees to update and edit the Toolkit.
Support community engagement efforts to ensure the Toolkit is culturally and linguistically appropriate and meets the needs of our partners and communities.
Coordinate with publications and communications resources to ensure the final product is accurate and well-designed.
Facilitate the development and execution of a communication plan to provide updates to stakeholders and disseminate the final Toolkit.
Qualifications
Required:
Enrolled in or registered for a graduate program with a minimum of 4.5 credit hours.
Graduate-level student.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.
Openness to feedback.
Comfortable in a virtual work environment.
Commitment to the principles of health equity and a desire to implement them in daily work.
Preferred
Enrollment in the School of Public Health.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Familiarity with project design, documentation, and coordination.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple overlapping tasks and report on progress.
Experience facilitating diverse groups in virtual environments.
Document editing experience within a team setting.
Skill in navigating complex systems.
Capacity to work independently with minimal oversight.
Resourcefulness and effective problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information
This position primarily involves remote work, with occasional in-person meetings available upon request.
Ability to work remotely with access to the internet, computer, and phone. Equipment may be provided by during your employment.
