REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the assigned internship leader within the host department.
POSITION SUMMARY
The ProMedica Summer Internship Program & HR Projects Coordinating Intern role is a 16-20 week, up to 40 hours per week, a paid internship. This role organizes events and activities to ensure the elements of the ProMedica Summer Internship Program work together effectively to create a successful program experience. This role also supports key projects throughout the HR function at ProMedica.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and manage program evaluations and make recommendations for Summer Internship Program improvement.
- Schedule and assess learning and development and community impact and volunteer experiences for the Summer Internship Program cohort.
- Coordinate Summer Internship Program communications, recruitment, hiring and engagement processes.
- Provide project management support on HR function projects and prepare and give presentations on key projects and Summer Internship Program updates.
- Provide day-to-day program support of Summer Internship Program host departments and summer interns.
- Partner with Summer Internship Program host department leaders to organize and provide an effective internship experience that provides interns with tangible work experiences and broader exposure to healthcare and community systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Undergraduate college students graduating in 2023 or currently enrolled in a program with one to four semesters remaining before graduation.
Skills:
- Displays compassion, innovation, teamwork, excellence and a desire for learning.
- Demonstrates a commitment to curiosity, service and growth. Collaborates well on a team, is open to differences and practices active listening.
- Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and use other technology systems, tools and apps needed for the experience
WORKING CONDITIONS
Personal Protective Equipment: Use of mask when on site and other facility or location requirements.
Physical Demands: Moderate walking, climbing steps, lifting, bending. Potential for many assignments to be completed virtually.
