The Role


Flock Safety is looking for a progressive Director of People Operations to scale our high-growth organization from an employee perspective. The ideal candidate is passionate about building a fair, equitable and performance-driven workplace through trusted partnerships with leaders and employees alike. How you'll make an impact:


  • Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
  • Own our people related data and carry out thorough analytics to drive decisions throughout the enterprise.
  • Own vendor relationships and data transfers for all people related tooling.
  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the company's efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement.
  • Improves customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural changes.
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
  • Communicates and explains new directives, policies, or procedures to managers; for major changes, meets with entire operations staff to explain changes, answer questions, and maintain morale.
  • Partner with managers to create the policies and people programs needed for their teams to succeed
  • Ensure Compliance with State and Federal regulations
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
  • Create strategies and policies that ensure Flock Safety is an equitable and inclusive work environment for all
  • Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, engineering, technology, and customer service divisions to produce smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.
  • Responsible for implementation of the benefits processes, protocol, and the day-to-day relationship with benefits broker
  • Manage EEO-1 reporting


We’re looking for people who have:


  • SHRM certification(s) preferred
  • 10+ years of experience within the HR field, preferably in a VC backed, high-growth company
  • Experience with HRIS Administration (we currently use Rippling)
  • Strong representation of Flock Safety’s Core Values
  • Bias towards operational excellence with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, with the drive to cut through complexity and make quick, well-informed decisions.
  • Experience with data analytic platforms such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc
  • Be excited about working on a fast-paced, constantly evolving product
  • 5 or more years of experience in HR in the tech industry
  • Competency in general employment law and managing compliance across multiple states

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $170,000-$195,000 as well as stock options
