Guild is hiring a People Operations Manager to lead our People Operations team. This team is often the first point of contact for Guilders who have general questions or HR-related needs, and they strive to provide Guilders with high-touch customer service. You will be responsible for fostering a positive work culture and enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction of the People Operations team. This role requires a rare combination of people leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of People best practices, and the ability to create and implement innovative people strategies.


As a People Operations Manager, You Will


  • Maintain compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies, including maintaining employee records, confidentiality, and data privacy.
  • Oversee employee lifecycle management, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, employee data changes, I-9 verification, employment verifications, benefits administration, leave of absence, accommodations, immigration, and other general requests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify opportunities to improve processes, innovate, and enhance operational efficiency with a human-centric focus on employee experience.
  • Develop and maintain employee self-service resources within our company intranet to empower employees to find answers to common HR-related questions.
  • Lead and develop the People Ops team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and belonging.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies, procedures, and programs to optimally support the organization’s goals and industry best practices.
  • Be the escalation point for the team to provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and standard methodologies, and proactively recommend changes to HR processes and policies to support organizational growth and employee satisfaction.


You are a strong fit for this role if you have:


Required Competencies


  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze data
  • An ability to handle change, be flexible and adaptable as required by the business
  • 2-3 years of people leadership and team management experience with the capacity to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience with HRIS required; experience with ADP preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience in People Operations (HR Operations)
  • Willingness to take initiative, raise your hand for opportunities, and proactively suggest ideas for process improvements
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with a desire to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks; experience with software implementations preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and appropriately convey complex information to diverse audiences

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including an annual rate of $90,000 - $108,750, as well as company stock options.
