POSITION OVERVIEW
The Director of P&C Operations provides leadership through a strong understanding of each functional area of Human Resources including HR Information Systems (HRIS), HR Data Analysis and Reporting, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, and Laws and Regulations, Recruiting, and will lead a team of roughly 10 HR professionals in these areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leave of Absence (LOA) process management & administration.
- Lead a team to administer and validate employee information in the HRIS/Payroll system, onboarding, status changes, and terminations.
- Responsible for development and implementation of a Talent Acquisition Strategy to achieve the most appropriate sourcing, evaluation, and selection of highly qualified and diverse talent.
- Participate in compensation benchmarking, conduct related analysis, research market competitive practices, recommend new programs or enhancements, for competitive and innovative recognition and reward strategies.
- Ensure benefits-related documentation, supporting materials and communications are thoroughly reviewed for accuracy, updated promptly and compliant with the respective plan or governmental regulations.
- Identifies and develops plans for the acquisition and/or retention of high potential and key contributor talent.
- Responsible for the administration, delivery, and ongoing support of employee benefits programs, including responsibility for renewals and vendor selection and management and responsibility for the annual open enrollment process.
- Worker’s Compensation management & administration.
- Establish efficient processes for the administration and management of the payroll function, including jurisdiction tax reporting, garnishments, deductions, and responding to employee inquiries, company communication, resources, and tools.
- Oversee the administration processes for Unemployment Claims.
- Establish, maintain, and audit consistent records retention practices including employee personnel files, I-9’s, and documents related to onboarding, performance management, LOA, etc.
- Lead, coach and develop your direct report team to deliver a great employee experience and manage/promote Human Resources consistency, compliance, and best practices.
- Bring a solutions focused attitude and be comfortable working in an environment that demands deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and create appropriate solutions.
- Directs talent acquisition team activities across entire hiring cycle including establishing and service level agreements with hiring managers, creating and executing on sourcing strategy, extending employment offers after review with compensation, background checks, and system onboarding.
- Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations, industry trends and best practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes and to ensure company legal compliance with Federal and State laws.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
- Experience in multi-unit organizations.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
- Strong knowledge of both UKG and Workday preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- At least five years of Human Resource management experience required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Position requires employee to sit or stand at desk for extended periods of time.
Compensation ranges from $130-150k + bonus based on experience and qualifications. Full benefits package including 401k with match.
