Job Summary

This is a pipeline position, meaning we will prequalify you but cannot move you through the hiring process unless and until a seat becomes available.

This is a remote position in direct support of the National Visa Center (NVC) in Portsmouth, NH; however, you will be required to attend training in person, on-site for approximately 3 weeks. You will also be required to attend various other meeting or come into in the office, as required, by the contract. Your daily work will be performed by telework.

Job Responsibilities

• You will refer cases with discrepancies that might indicate fraud to another unit for review.
• You will modify, update, and correct data contained in our automated systems.
• You will apply your training, experience, and judgment to select the correct procedures to follow when you search for, interpret, select, or code items to be entered.
• Enter data into an automated system using formatting input screens and validate information from applications and related source documents in accordance with guidelines. Source documents include applications, petitions, forms, supplemental documentation, and other documents.

• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Base pay is $19.73 per hour, plus $6.07 per hour up to 80 hours per pay period for benefits or extra pay after required benefits elections/deductions.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• You must demonstrate a professional work ethic.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance.
• Capable of working in a multi-task environment with rapidly changing priorities.
• Ability to pass a computer skills test with a score of at least 66%.
• One to two years of relevant experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to pass a typing test with at least 85% accuracy.
• US Citizenship and pass a thorough background and credit check.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Good attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment.
• Days: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, two paid 15 min. breaks and 30 min. unpaid lunch.
• Experience in an office/clerical environment is desired.
