Responsibilities:
Program Development: Collaborate with the leadership team to design, implement, and continuously improve community stewardship programs aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with community members, partners, and other relevant organizations to ensure a deep understanding of their needs and interests.
Outreach and Communication: Develop and execute outreach strategies to promote community participation and awareness of the organization's initiatives through various channels, including social media, events, and traditional media.
Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to contribute effectively to the community stewardship programs.
Collaboration and Partnership: Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, institutions, and government agencies to leverage resources and enhance the impact of community programs.
Data Management and Evaluation: Monitor and track program metrics and performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of community stewardship efforts and identify areas for improvement.
Fundraising Support: Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify potential funding sources and assist in grant writing and reporting related to community stewardship programs.
Event Planning: Organize community events, workshops, and educational sessions that promote community involvement and foster a sense of belonging.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Community Development, Non-profit Management, Sociology, Social Work) or equivalent work experience.
● Proven experience in program development, community engagement, or related roles within the non-profit or community-based sector.
● Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey the organization's mission and engage the community effectively.
● Demonstrated project management and organizational abilities to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
● Knowledge of data tracking and evaluation methodologies to measure program outcomes.
● Experience in volunteer management and a track record of fostering positive volunteer experiences.
● Passionate about social causes, community empowerment, and sustainable development.
● Must be able to lift 30 lbs or more.
