Job Description
Responsible for managing and leading the Women in Fitness Association (WIFA) day-to-day programming and operations, and other adjacent efforts surrounding the support and advancement of diversity, equity and inclusion in communities and in the broader health and fitness space. The role will work as part of the Community Health and Wellness department and support planning and execution of department goals.


  • Starting Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hour – depending on education and experience.
  • Contract role: Length of contract TBD, covering an LOA
  • Location: Remote (preferrable to keep CA hours)

  • Execute the WIFA content calendar across our digital channels including website, social media, blog, webinar, podcasts, e-learning and email.
  • Serve as creative for all emails, including copy, in alignment with larger marketing goals in support of both member acquisition and retention.
  • Refunds, FAQ’s, courses, partner inquiries, ambassador inquiries.
  • Ensure all participants are receiving scheduled communication
  • Work with the Director of Community Health and Wellness to lead partnership and program development efforts for WIFA
  • Manage the [email protected] inbox, manage the feedback loop, collect testimonials.
  • Serve as the “driver” behind all meetings by supporting moderators, being responsive to comments and conduct, and helping facilitate a positive experience for all.
  • Log into Zoom calls as host, admit guests once meeting commences
  • Handle day-to-day operations and tasks associated with WIFA inquiries, memberships, etc.
  • Supervise contractor content assignments as needed, including outreach to existing subject-matter experts, developers, and copywriters for availability and assignments including education and training content.
  • Excellent communications skills; working knowledge of social media, content creation, and basic marketing principles
  • Manage and support the education, training and mentoring programs that support career advancement for women working in the health and fitness.
  • Excellent customer service and/or member management skills
  • Manage content creation via Canva and other graphic tools to share via social
  • Update site content/create landing pages as needed
  • Attend meetings, planning sessions, and other activities essential to the planning and positioning of WIFA efforts
  • Work on internal and external communications plan And execution.
  • Serve as a liaison between WIFA volunteers and ACE/CHW
  • Help keep our partners and sponsors in the loop with relevant updates and information
  • Ability to understand and interact in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Manage program databases and analyses, ensuring security and confidentiality of all protected information.
  • Support course mentors in scheduling group calls and podcast interviews, as needed
  • Using WIFA images and brand guide, utilize Canva creative content to share updates to followers
  • Social Media/newsletter content creation and scheduling
  • Assist in coordinating the WIFA member events, both digital and live, including speaker coordination, member communication and scheduling
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Health/Health promotion, Women’s Studies or related field OR experience managing programs/member relations within an organization
  • Experience keeping programs on track with scheduled procedures and protocols with little to no oversight
  • Assist in coordination of events and communication of our WIFA ambassador program
  • Assist with systems and process creation and improvements to streamline and optimize
  • Supervise and train WIFA leaders, volunteers and interns.
  • Experience in day-to-day program management, including budgeting, KPI tracking and reporting, SME/contractor coordination and communication, and event management
  • Manage member blog
  • Prepare meeting agendas and decks in advance
  • Ensure defined KPI’s are visible and accessible, and monthly reports are up-to-date and maintained
  • Manage, track and follow-up on invoices
  • Update and send weekly KPI’s & reports to CHW team
  • Basic knowledge/experience with Kajabi or similar
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Check and respond to WIFA emails daily
  • Edit and publish podcasts on WIFA Waves using Blubrry
  • Manage partner inquiries and inform CHW team
  • Act as a company spokesperson, when necessary, at events and in the media.
  • Knowledge of the fitness/wellness industry, women’s career equity solutions for change
