What will you be responsible for?
As an integral member of Epson’s scanner product management team, you will be responsible for product management in US and Canada. This role will focus on bringing new scanner products to market, building creative marketing programs and messaging to accelerate market awareness and sales, and collaboratively engaging internal and external stakeholders (including Epson’s parent company Seiko Epson Corporation) to drive forward new initiatives, develop new products and advance our business objectives.

What will you be doing?
Product Management / Development
- Work closely with Marketing Communications, Documentation, Product Development, Logistics, SEC (Seiko Epson Corporation, Japan), and other groups to manage the product from concept to launch and throughout its lifecycle
- Communicating progress and updates to stakeholders and the broader organization
- Assist in developing and maintaining a product roadmap that aligns with business goals and user needs
- Manage end of product lifecycle and transition to minimize inventory and ensure launch time frames are met
- Be the expert regarding the competitive landscape and how Epson’s scanners compare to competitor offerings. Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking and make recommendations
- Follow processes for a complete product launch for assigned products
- Coordinate with SEC (Seiko Epson Corporation) to monitor product development process and makes product improvement and new product recommendations for meeting market needs to product management team
- Support the company at events, including sales meetings, trade shows and virtual events
- Continuously seeking feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future product development. Provide input into the development of product road maps for assigned products. Conduct and analyze market information and provide interpretation
- Participate in updating and reconciling operating and budget plans
- Operate within budgetary constraints by participating in the development of annual and quarterly budget forecasts
- Maintain professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations
- Manage and leverage relationships with vendors for a specific product/service (best price, best product, etc.)
- Build strong relationships with peers, associated internal Epson teams, and Senior Managers to best meet company goals and objectives
- Prior Product Management or related business experience required
- Demonstrated proficiency in solving complex problems while balancing multiple objectives
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to persuade across organizational lines inside and outside the company
- Ability to sell ideas through cohesive and creative presentations
- Strong market analysis, project management, marketing communications and strategic planning skills
- MBA or equivalent education/experience is a plus
- Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)
- All Travel - Up to 25%
