This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.
- Market Awareness - Synthesizes market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen.
- Cross Team Collaboration - Guides key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, and exit).
- Use Case Definitions - Builds and delivers the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring innovative and disruptive products to market for a product portfolio with respect to the whole company product portfolio (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/Margins, financials, market share).
- Creates and drives goal alignment and collaborates across one or more products' value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of products per plans across the product lifecycle. (ie. Engineering: product development, Supply Chain: SKUs, inventory and Marketing: marketing and pricing strategies and Go To Market Plan).
- Strategy and Execution plans - Independently leads and drives the end to end strategy and operational product roadmap for one or more complex products or a product portfolio.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry
- 10+ years of work experience in related field
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
- Ability to present to upper management and approval committees with clear definitions and results.
- Extensive team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
- Expert in obtaining buy-in among peers and management
- Extensive skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis
- Experience in delivering complex solutions to market
- Experience in driving and leading a complex, multifaceted, early market stage product
- Extensive business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
- Additional skill sets include self-starter, cross product influencer, team builder, developer of differentiated value assessments (product and competitive)

- Preferred knowledge includes; Hyperconverged infrastructure and technologies, enterprise storage, Virtualization technology, Container and Kubernetes, application awareness and best practices, cloud connectivity and strategies, and SaaS technologies.

- Self-driver and able to make decision in the mist of seemingly incomplete information
- Comfortable with defending a decision with upper management.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team.
- Willing to take risks with critical decisions that impact engineering teams and overall direction
