About The Role
The Services Procurement Sr. Sourcing Manager provides strategic and advisory services utilizing leading practices in Service Procurement to our clients in support of Magnit’s Services Procurement service line. This leadership position requires a self-driven professional, comfortable engaging client executives, sales prospects, vendors, and procurement and other internal stakeholders. This position drives the global implementation of our clients’ Statement of Work (SOW) program, working closely with client sponsors, sourcing and category management teams, client hiring and project managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams, and will leverage our award-winning software, Magnit VMS or a third-party VMS as requested by the client for smooth services procurement delivery.
A typical day may involve defining category or SOW-specific strategy plans and leading the sourcing process to include market and baseline analysis, managing suppliers, developing, and implementing strategies, negotiations, performing supplier capability assessments, continuous improvement and benchmarking that supports the sourcing category . The Sr. Sourcing Manager will support and implement global sourcing strategies and solutions that incorporate the full source-to-contract life cycle across multiple spend categories, geographies, and business areas. You will also be contributing to and executing the development and management of the client supply base in line with its strategy, including owning and developing key strategic suppliers on behalf of the client, identifying potential new suppliers, and managing and improving supplier performance.
The Services Procurement Sr. Sourcing Manager has a keen eye for identifying areas of opportunity and collaborates with client services and sales assessing new business and expansion opportunities. As our clients often operate globally, this may involve working with clients, vendors, and workers all over the world. Specific activities will vary based on client and location.
What You Will Do
  • Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of client’s industry, products, markets, competition, and financial position.
  • Sourcing for technology, digital services, professional services, engineering, and marketing sourcing (beneficial) for labor and services SOWs throughout contract lifecycle of drafting, negotiating, reviewing, editing, finalizing, and executing.
  • Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
  • Build strong effective relationships with decision makers in the client organization, ensuring procurement is positioned to enable the client’s strategic priorities by leveraging Magnit’s capabilities.
  • Develop the stakeholder management strategy and deliver excellent supply chain service to those stakeholders, including designing and delivering solutions.
  • Partner closely with Director to introduce new services to the client and for support and guidance on program delivery, issue resolution and account management
  • Create and develop with Director client cadence to include weekly, monthly, and quarterly client meetings.
  • Partner closely with General Manager and sales to introduce new services to the client, for support and guidance on program delivery, issue resolution, and account management.
  • Work with the contracts department to create agreements/contracts/standing orders with successful vendor(s), using corporate contract templates or other approved methods.
  • Analyze the details of the Client’s business contracts with its supplier base to ensure that the terms are equitable for the Client and that the Client is properly notified on terms and expectations for both parties.
  • Manage contracts queue, updates systems/platforms with notes and maintains version control of documents and assists clients to prepare and negotiate contract specifications and Statements of Work with suppliers, partners, or customers.
  • Drive a strong analytical mindset and fact-based way of working to develop business case for client adoption.
  • Build strong networks across the supply market and other external organizations and develop deep insights and analysis by maintaining knowledge of suppliers within categories for opportunity identification and business case development.
  • Identify process and technology change management opportunities and develop recommendations.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a variety of supply chain models, such as offshore, outsourcing, utility and make versus buy.
  • Drive competitive sourcing events and support the vendor selection process to deliver on business strategy with clear outcomes such as cost savings by negotiating decreases in costs to rates and fees on a per vendor basis with an understanding of vendor base cost structures.
  • Collaborate with Client Services, Sales, and Business Development teams to educate our clients on the benefits of the Magnit Services Procurement service line.
  • Review and analyze sourcing data, market trends, benchmarking best practices, and maintain market awareness for continuous sourcing best practices.
  • Drive to and comply with program standards and procedures.
  • Undertake contract and financial signing authority in line with published delegated levels of authority and regional variations.
  • Provide updates on category strategies, vendor relationship management programs, including performance metrics.
  • Monitor, analyze and synthesize change to the client business needs and external supply market, adapting sourcing strategy accordingly.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive master of all strategic operational functions that are required to service the client for their sourcing of their SOW program.
  • Potentially Manage a Sourcing Specialist, conduct performance reviews and establish developmental actions.
  • Work with clients to understand the strategic business objectives of their SOW programs and participate in business planning, cost savings, and forecasting meetings and assist in developing an implementation roadmap to achieve them.
  • Assist in the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals.
  • Solicit formal and informal bids for requested services, considering price, terms, delivery, compatibility, and total cost while evaluating the supplier's ability to meet their responsibilities.
What You Will Need
  • Self-starter able to influence strategy with negotiating skills.
  • Working knowledge of labor and employment laws a plus.
  • Excellence in building relationships and customer service skills.
  • Strategic thinking; complex problem-solving skills; analytical; organized with attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of master services agreements, general services agreements, and Statement of Work documents.
  • Work effectively with teams throughout the organization as well as external suppliers.
  • Master’s Degree with Certification(s) in Supply Chain Management a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) and ability to effectively communicate.
  • Five to ten years of experience required in related field (i.e., Supply Chain) with experience required in drafting and negotiating labor and services-based SOWs, creating, and executing effective sourcing strategies and plans.
  • Previous sourcing management experience, procurement management, and client management experience.
  • Understanding and demonstrated use of Procurement Software (especially a Vendor Management System) and e-sourcing are highly desirable.
Compensation Package
  • Salary/ Hourly rate is based on experience, skills, and geographical location.
  • Salary range is $100k - $130K USD annually
