Job Description
About The Role
As the Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability Manager at Stitch Fix, you will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on Stitch Fix and on millions of people, by working across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to advance human rights at the factories producing Stitch Fix products and the sustainability of the materials utilized in Stitch Fix products. You will lead Stitch Fix’s Responsible Sourcing supply chain audit program and more sustainable materials pledge overseeing the expansion of due diligence activities within the Private Brands business. You will create accountability at the vendor and factory levels to improve working conditions and lower the environmental impacts for Stitch Fix Private Brands products. Additionally, you will work with external stakeholders to advance Stitch Fix’s progress to industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience managing global human rights / responsible sourcing / social compliance programs / sustainability programs. We're looking for someone with a strategic mindset, a nuanced approach to problem-solving, multi-cultural awareness and sharp communication and influencing skills.

  • Develop guidance and processes to meet global regulatory requirements impacting the retail / apparel / footwear space
  • Ensure Stitch Fix meets Brand / Retailer requirements for Better Cotton including annual BCCU accounting
  • Ensure Stitch Fix meets Brand / Retailer membership requirements for the Sustainable Apparel Coalition including the adoption of the FSLM and FEM in the private brands supply chain
  • Maintain and report on program KPIs and develop internal tracking and comparison tools to evaluate impact and risk
  • Partnering with vendors and factories on remediation of High Risk issues
  • Reviewing program process and policies to ensure alignment with industry on a global level.
  • Have a direct, positive impact on the people who make Stitch Fix’s private label product and domestic workers who make products for our strategic Market vendors
  • Lead the Responsible Sourcing program across private brands including but not limited to
  • Oversee and manage Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability annual budget and resources
  • Managing supply chain data to ensure accuracy of information and traceability
  • Guiding Stitch Fix contractor(s) to support the effective administration of the Responsible Sourcing audit program
  • Partner with Legal, Communications and Buying Teams to responsibly prevent, mitigate and manage potential risks related to social and environmental impact in the supply chain
  • Serve as Stitch Fix’s representative in industry collaboration and membership events such as the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), the American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA), Better Cotton, and Canopy
  • Oversee the Stitch Fix’s Social Impact Task Force and advance Stitch Fix’s 100% more sustainable raw materials pledge in collaboration with the Buying Teams and Vendors
  • Partner with Vendor Operations on vendor manual documentation
  • Partner with MGMT and Chief of Staff on total company ESG efforts
  • Build strategies and evolve programs to continue to advance responsibility and sustainability within the supply chain

  • You are willing to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally
  • You are a positive team player who is able to work independently

Compensation And Benefits
Our anticipated compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets, and the range below indicates the low end of the lowest-compensated market to the high end of the highest-compensated market. This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance. Salary Range
$155,000—$162,000 USD
